Illuminations

It started with an old slide projector and bits of paint.

Originally called “Illuminations”, this body of work explores the magnification of pigment on glass.

Using a variety of small glass surfaces - from microscope slides to carousel film-holders - I explore the beauty of abstract and expressive compositions on teeny surfaces.

Through photography, I elevate tiny compositions (think 1-square inch) into a broader conversation on expression, spirituality, natural science and our perception of nature.
